Could somebody give me a replacement exercise for seated calf raises and standing calf raises. I have no equipment to do these, which sucks because I know how good they would feel.

Please check out the article before suggesting an exercise because it already might be in the program.

Thanks in advance.

standing calves raises on the edge of an elevated paltform with added weight resistance. do on leg at a time. If you dont have a platform then stack 45lb plates to generate enough height. laters pk

If you have access to a squat/power rack, just load up the bar for rear back Squats, place a 2X4 under the ball of your foot, and extend up.

I sometimes do them w/o the 2X4 when doing squats. I find it more effective than the other machines.

Lift FAST!

Don’t you have dumbells or a barbell? Tell us what you do have.

For a long time I worked out my legs using a rucksack and bottles of water. Water weighs 8.5 (give or take) per gallon, so I would load up for calves and drop back down for front squats. Use anything under your toes that provides a stable platform and enough room for a good stretch. I hope that helps.

Don’t have a squat rack or anything to do calf raises on. I believe that is all my equipment.

Load up your olympic bar and deadlift it. Now sit down on your bench(or something close to parallel)and use a block of wood(a couple of 2x4’s) to place your feet. With the bar on your knees, do seated calf raises. You might want to wrap the bar in a towel to cushion it.

I hope you can understand what I am describing here.

Get creative,
