Big Bench

I’ve just read Dave Tate’s article ‘Bench 600 Pounds’ and am intrigued by his thoughts on form.

Dave suggests keeping your elbows tucked in tight which goes against how most people perform the bench press.

Is this the right way to perform the excercise from a body building perspective? And what gains have people made using this method?

It strikes me that as greater emphasis is placed on your triceps the direct load on your pec’s will be lower.

He states in that article and others that the pec gains will be minimal.
