I suffered a muscle tear in my right bicep doing preacher curls a couple months back and it has been slow to heal (probably because I kept pushing it thinking tendonitis/strain, dumb).
I know these things are supposed to get better on their own, but I’m wondering if any of you have any ideas as to how I might speed up my recovery time. The doctor told me I could do high reps if I wanted to keep lifting, but I knew as soon as he walked in that he doesn’t have much experience dealing with this sort of thing. Should I do high rep rows, chins, pulldowns, and curls? Or should I rest it altogther and focus on legs/posterior chain?
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Oh yeah, I’m poor and switching insurance companies after the 1st of the year so finding another doctor will have to wait.
