Bi & Tri

Hi gang. Anyone see any problems with working
biceps & triceps together so as not to be in
the same session as my bench press and lifts.
Any help will be appreciated.
thank you all.

Nope nothing wrong with doing it.

that’s how i do them. has the benefit of giving your chest an extra “light” workout a few days after the main chest day.

I do it also. Chest on Monday, Biceps and Triceps on Thursday.

As Alit4 said, it’s nice to get in an extra ‘light’ chest workout.

also do it. like the idea of a maximal amount of blood within the one area.

I always finish my triceps off after they are already worn out from benching and dips and shit. I just figured: why do 3 or 4 exercies for triceps when I can just do 3 or 4 sets after they are already tired. Obviously there are advantages to both as others (who are probably more advanced than me) have pointed out.

Thanks for the reply gang.
Some good pros and cons there,
something to think about.

I do this too. I rotate muscles each set. Bi’s for a excersise next tricep’s and so on.

Did I miss something? You do chest on Monday, so how does your chest get a “light” workout when you are doing Triceps? Only thing I can think of is close grip bench for Tris that “lightly” work the chest…

Anyone do supersets?

I just started doing supersets for bis and tris. Tris get pounded, not too much on the bis front though. Sorry about being a hijackasaurus rex

close grip bench, dip, reverse grip bench etc…

I do this also and like it a lot.

My chest definitely gets a nice little workout in while doing tris (Close grip bench and weighted dips) and my Bis also get a nice litte workout on chest day because I do chest/back

so it looks like this

Monday chest/back

incline db press
decline flyes
incline wide grip BB press

pronated pull ups
1 arm DB row
seated cable row

Thursday bis/tris

1 arm concentration curl rest paused (loving these!)
neutral grip pull ups
standing wide grip bb curls

close grip bench
weighted dips
overhead tri extension
