BF% / Muscle Mass?

I’ve been majorly stressing over a 5 lb weight gain over the last 2 months or so. I have absolutely no problem with jumping on the scale to torment myself but have been reluctant to take out the tape measure (still don’t have calipers). Today my measurements are the exact same as they were 5 or 6 lbs ago. I’ve been trying to “work harder” lately.

Question - wouldn’t it be safe to assume that this would show a fat loss & muscle gain? But isn’t a 5 lb gain in muscle mass too significant for a female with no supplementation?

I’m assuming you are doing some sort of weight training, and if that’s the case it very well could be muscle gain. invest in body fat calipers, you can get them cheaply. Keep lifting and let the mirror be your scale. Don’t fret about the weight. Muscle good.

Yes, weight train 4 times a week, cardio 2 or 3 times.

that’s good, keep doing what you are doing, and just remember nutrition is half the battle, well more like 75%. eat clean, reward yourself once in awhile, like pizza or whatever.
