Better Nutritional Strategy for Max Muscle

What strategy would be better for a lean bulk… 500 surplus for 4 of 7 days (lifting days), and maintenance for the other 3? Or a small surplus 7 days/week regardless if I’m lifting or not, just adjust macro breakdown between lifting days and non lifting days…

I’ve been carb cycling for 3 months or so and feel that the low carb/low cals days have made me feel run down… Brain fog, low libido, lack of motivation etc. I don’t think it’s possible for me to be goin into keto on my off days so I don’t think it’s that… I just think the end of week calorie total is not enough…

So in summation, theres 2 things I’m trying to figure out here… 1, the optimal bulking strategy carb/cal cycling vs small end of week surplus and 2. Best way to minimize these symptoms I’ve been talking about…

I initially thought that adrenal fatigue was the cause of my feeling run down but most people in fitness circles claim that it doesn’t really exist…
