I've been pondering over what approach is best to take for this question, and I've come up with the following. Out of the many pre-workout and post-workout supplements, can anyone recommend which are the best ones, or tell me which ones they have personally used and have experienced body changing results? If I have been mislead by the media, please inform me too. I want to maximize my efforts in the gym, especially since I DO NOT train like a pussy. And just as a side note, I am 5'6", 145 lbs., white male with 13% body fat (and 20 years of age), who is looking to put on 25-30 more pounds of lean muscle.
I typically go for a protein shake (Gaspari Nutrition's Myofusion, 1.5-1.75 scoops), some almonds and a banana immediately after my training routine. But I have recently switched the nuts and banana to a slice of whole wheat bread with natural chunky/crunchy peanut butter and a banana for more carbs following my workout.
And one more thing: I'm only willing to spend a max of $100 per month on these supplements. Thanks for any tips, tricks, and adivce!
