Best Movies on the IMDB Top 250?

Shawshank redemption is amazing. That’s all I have.

There are a bunch of Hitchcock films in the top 250 and I recommend them all. Here is how I would rank the ones on the list.

Psycho
Vertigo
Rear Window
Dial M for Murder
Rope
North by Northwest
Notorious
The Birds (didn’t spot that one on the list but I might have missed it. At any rate, it belongs)
Shadow of a Doubt
Strangers on a Train
Rebecca

-Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart in the Land of Demons
-Lone Wolf and Cub: White Heaven in Hell

Like DBCooper I have watched about 90% of these also. His recoomendations are spot on.
I tend to go by directors more than titles, so here are a few recommendations:

Sexy Beast
Amelie
Rushmore
The White Ribbon
Dogville
Pi
Oldboy
Clockwork Orange
Three Kings
Magnolia
Rashomon
The Seventh Seal
Last tango in Paris

Watch these, research the directors, and follow them down the rabbit hole…

Not really in any order, some pre 90’s some post 90’s:

The Killing Fields (Seen it as a kid, The words “this is hard” became meaningless)

The Godfather 1

Blazing Saddles (just damn funny and timeless)

Richard Pryor live on the sunset strip (first concert after catching fire classic, that man could tell a story)

The Departed (wow)

The Killer (John Woo’s BEST)

Menance to Society

^^^yeah the Departed was awesome

Thanks for the lists guys…Just watched Heat, pretty good but a little long for my taste. Was funny to see Jeremy Piven and Natalie Portman is such tiny roles.

I just watched Amadeus on Netflix the other day. My mom made me watch it with her when I was like 9, and I remembered liking it even then. It really is a good movie, even if you aren’t into all that “faggoty classical music gay ass homo shit”.

Death Wish, Out for Justice, and Re-Animator should be on that list.

Where’s The Land Before Time?
