Best Ever Cover Song Versions

What do you think are the best covers by artists of other artists songs?
For me Stiff Little Fingers version of Bob Marley’s Johnny Was or maybe The Stranglers version of Walk On By by Burt Bacharach

I quite liked The Man Who Sold The World on Nirvana Unplugged (original by David Bowie)

Little Wing by SRV, original by Hendrix.

I like Ring of Fire by Social Distortion

Disurbed: Shout. Originally sung by…I cant remember anymore sho originally made that song, maybe Tears for Fears or something…

The Clash - I Fought the Law

Tiffany “I think we’re alone now”

“Hush”, covered by Deep Purple. Bowling For Soup also did a good version of Ring Of Fire last time I saw them.

I’d agree that’s a great one, I hate the cover of Ring Of Fire.

I might agree that that is the ‘best guitar song’, but I think SRV’s version of Little Wing is my ultimate electric guitar performance. The tone, the chops, the buildup – it’s better IMHO than his (or Hendrix’s) version of Voodoo Chile.

I could never actually decide between them. Both powerful in their own way. I was just stirring up some shit:)

Hallow be thy name - Crade of filth
Orignal by Iron Maiden

The guitar is the most increadable sound I have ever heard adn the lyrics aren’t bad either… once you get over the lead singers horrible voice and the fact that the gropu is a bunch of the worlds biggest crazies ever.

We need WAY more links

Blood of my Enemies - by Manowar
cover by Edge of Sanity

Pantera Planet Caravan orginally Black Sabbath.

The lyrics ruin Voodoo Chile. SRV was smart enough to let his fingers do the talkin w/Little Wing.
