Best Deload

Hi,

I’m training for powerlifting and I’ve got a deload coming up. Previously, I’ve used a 5/3/1 type of deload, going about 60% for sets of 5 on the big lifts. I’ve been reading that a lot of people deload by cutting volume instead of intensity. I’m curious if anyone knows how well that works out and if there are any specific benefits to doing it that way.
