Best Damn for 1B: Heavy Sets vs Pump Work with Big Lifts?


QUESTION: Do you think type 1B can benefit more on Heavy sets than Pump Workout with the goal of Maximum Muscle Growth ?

EXPLANATION: I’m a 1B and my goal is maximum growth.
I like so much the “Best Damn” program, but its dificulty and boring high reps to fail in big lifts.
I’m thinking of do a few heavy “performance” sets in big lifts followed by some pump isolation work. Maybe drop a little the volume of the pump portion to maintain a short total session (35 min).


1B are neuro-driven. They need to do either heavy lifting or explosive work on the big lifts, not higher reps


Even to Max muscle growth goal?


Yes… 3-6 reps for the big lifts
