When I left the gym today, Alien Ant Farm’s version of “Smooth Criminal” was playing on their system. It made me think of this (and your original) thread.

love this song (this version)

99 Red Balloons - GoldFinger - YouTube Goldfinger - 99 red balloons

marilyn manson-you spin me right round - YouTube Manson - You spin me right round

Tainted Love - Marilyn Manson (Music Video + Lyrics) - YouTube Marilyn Manson - Tainted Love

Me First And The Gimme Gimmes - I Believe I Can Fly - YouTube Me first and the gimmie gimmies - I believe i can fly

Not really a Marilyn Manson fan, but this has got to be one of the best remakes:

Sweet Dreams

Fear Factory doing a remake of Gary Numan’s “Cars” wasn’t too bad either.

the only manson stuff I actually like are his covers and yeah sweet dreams is a good one of his too

Hayseed Dixie’s got so many good covers.

“I got you babe”, Sonny and Cher-UB40.

“Prairie Rose”, Roxy Music-Big Country.

Annie Lennox “No More I Love You’s”

Actually, her whole “Medusa” CD has all good covers.

Shinedown - “Simple Man” by Skynnard

Ratt actually did an early cover of AC/DC’s “Back in Black” that I thought had some serious balls

Annie Lennox’s cover version of “Waiting in Vain” is pretty good for mellowing out

“Straight Outta Compton” cover by Nina Gordon will have you laghing your ass off

Also Jonathan Coulton’s cover of “Baby Got Back”

Tool - No Quarter

Jimi Hendrix-All along the watchtower

Three Days Grace-Rooster

Just a couple of the ones i could think of off the top of my head.

This one is sorta silly, but great. The Ramones covering the original Spiderman
cartton series theme song:

Bowling for soups cover of Fergies London Bridge:

The Lostprophets cover of “Cry me a river” by Justin TimberLake:

The worst I ever heard is the following.
New Found glory covered Cry me a River aswell but all it was; was a stripped down version:

New Found Glory is actually a decent coverband.(despite the above video)there are no videos for these but they covered The Promise by When In Rome

Metallica’s cover of Am I evil? is amazing as is Faith No More’s version of easy (by the Commodores).

Chris Cornell cover Billie Jean

I saw him do this live in Santiago last December.

J

Strung Out covering “Bark at the Moon” by Ozzy

Aaron Lewis of Staind covering “Black” by Pearl Jam

Children of Bodom covers “she is beautiful” by Andrew w.k.

Rise Against covers “any way you want it” by Journey

Type O Negative’s version of “Cinnamon Girl” by Neil Young is probably my favorite cover tune.

I also really like Steve Vai’s various Hendrix covers.
