I’ve had a dreadful bench for ages and I’m going to run Smolov Jr. alongside my Smolov switching cycle. Any tips?
I already mentioned it on another thread, but I did it with dumbbells and didn’t gain anything. Barbell bench will probably be different, since you can turn it into a whole body lift. Make sure you use leg drive. Also, make sure you do it in a rack so you won’t get pinned. I hope it works for you–I might try it again with barbell bench in the future since I got a rack for home.
keep a solid base when you’re benching ( feet tucked in, back locked to the bench, and squeeze the shit out of the bar ) and get strong triceps. When I found those 2 things out a while back my bench became my best lift
