Benching after Total Shoulder Replacement

This is a long shot. But has anyone had a shoulder replacement and been able to successfully return to benching? My coach is 72 years old and still competitively powerlifts. He’s good enough for his age that he represented Team USA at IPF Worlds last September. His one shoulder is gone. Three of the four rotator cuff tendons are torn plus a torn labrum and detached bicep tendon. He’s been told he needs a total joint replacement. He questions whether he’d be able to return to the platform to bench respectable numbers in a shirt after such a procedure.

Thanks.
