Bench Weak Point Exercises

My failure point in the bench press always is at the bottom. It seems that if I can move the bar the first 1/3 that it goes all the way up but … the failing rep doesn’t get off my chest.
What exercises can I do to improve this?
I’m thinking:

  1. Rack presses where I work only the lower 1/3 range.
  2. Hit the back harder … DB Rows.

if you are a powerlifter or strength athelete, search for dave tates articles on benching. if you are a bodybuilder, keep pressing, do flys, dumb bells. weight doesn’t really matter. add chains and bands so that you work harder on the topportion of the movement where are have a mechanical advatage.
