I recently recieved a slightly used bench shirt from a buddy that seems to fit me based on my measurements. When i got the shirt, the man before me had cut the back open for the ease of putting it on by himself and i am not sure if this will throw off the effectiveness of the shirt. This is the first time i have ever used a shirt and just wanted another opinion.
Shirts with open backs work very well. Indeed I find they are easier to set properly.
Only thing to be careful of is to make sure it is legal in the league you wish to lift in, assuming you wish to compete. Many leagues (like WABDL, IPF, GPC) do not allow fully open backs on shirts. Check your fed’s rules.
Thanks W.E.C, i do not wish to compete but i wanted to get used to a shirt just in case i ever do wanna take it to that level.
