Does anyone bench press like this? I have for a few years and seem to get less shoulder issues.
Kinda similar myself. Cleaner reps touching a touch higher than nipples. If it works for you, you’re strongest and pain/injury free than keep on with it.
Experiment a bit tho. As well as using close/wide bench as assistance lifts perhaps widening or narrowing your grip or some other change such as tucking more or less will change your touch point or allow you to move more weight.
