I’m competing in a bench press competition in a months time and would be interested to hear everyones performances and training tips. The rules are simple, as many reps as possible in 3 mins with half bodyweight; my first attempt was 108 and I completed it in 6 sets as follows 25,20,20,20,15,8 x50kg.
How long did you rest for b/t sets?
approx 10-15 sec rest, prob a little longer towards the end.
Were you rest-pausing that? Maybe it would be less fatigueing to do a rep every 4 seconds instead of doing it continously and having to rest. You could also try using 50 kg, then not quiting until,(with a spotter of course) you reached 100.
