Beginnings of a Powerlifter

Started adding more cardio, I’m thinking that i will end up around 190 when I cut off enough fat to really see definition… but it has to be done. I’ve become much more serious about my diet, started carb cycling, it’s not hard for me to cut out carbs, it’s more difficult to pack them in… just having to train myself to trim the fat off the meat before I eat it…

The weight felt amazing, my last time benching 305 I only got 2 reps, so within a month I’ve seen some decent strength gains

**Squat [5x5] Speed

3 second pause at the bottom of each rep, practicing exploding out of the bottom

***Box Squats [5x8] Done using a bench, just slightly above parallel

I really like Box Squats,I feel it’s going to help my strength gains in a grand way

***Good Mornings [3x10]

I stayed light because of a lumbar injury from way back, 2 days later… back still sore.

***Lying Leg Curls [4x12]
[70x12, 90x10, 80x12, 80x12]

***Leg Extensions [3x12]
[200x12, 200x12, 210x12]
Was supposed to do 5 sets but the stair climber opened up and I had to take it

Since really beginning to focus on strength I’ve had great gains in a short period, I’m ready to see where I will be in a year. Any thoughts on when I should attempt a powerlifting meet?
