Beginners Blast Off Program?

I would like to start off by thanking everyone for the time they have spent in these forums and articles.

I have been out of the gym for around 6 months, and my progress wasn’t much to talk about before that. I want to use the Beginners Blast Off Program to get back in the gym and rebuild some base, along with shred some fat (at estimated 18% now).

I like the Beginners Blast Off Program, but was wondering if it was possible to work it in a split session? Will I lose the effectiveness if I split it up between a morning and evening session? Will adding other compound lifts, or repeating sets in the second session help?
I was also wondering with split sessions should I take the Surge after the morning or evening session? If in the morning should I forego my normal cup of oatmeal?
