Been Training 6 Month W/O a Bench

I been training 6 month with out a safe bench to bench press. I just joined a gym.
I can now safely include chest training.

I need my chest to catch up in size so I’m looking for the set and rep scheme that will most dominantly work size. After 8-12 weeks maybe I’ll consider the importance of chest strength for now i want to balance out my body.

How about you just start benching in the first place. Any set rep scheme will work for you right now.

I hear ya OP…try to avoid gaining strength on the bench as you start out, since you’re going for size primarily :wink: Make sure you put the cart before the horse
