Becoming a Certified Trainer

Anyone done this? I went to the NFPT website to check up how to do it. Can you just register to take the test and get certified or does it require enrollment in courses? I’m pretty sure I could just breeze through the test with no preparation . . .

try a search, you’ll get some good posts.

basically, the PT industry is not that regulated. You can go as simple as a take-home test, or take a course that involves a weekend workshop with a post-test, up to certs that require a college degree.

Of course, some gyms will only accept the more respected certs.

From reading an article on here recently (although the article wasnt that recent. It was a story exploring the PT industry), I would take some of the classes. The information that they give you might be completely wrong, but you have to go with it.
