What is the difference between having BCAAs with chicken/gatorade and a post workout shake?
A PWO shake like Surge will get into the body quickly to replace glycogen and reduce muscle catabolism. You can eat the chicken an hour or so later with some carbs. The chicken will take far longer to get into the system than the shake.
A few grams of bcaas does not get enough into the system to stop the catabolism.
