If I buy a protein that contains a decent BCAA profile is it really necessary to get BCAA capsules or powder on top? Or will the BCAAs in the whey be adequate?
Depends what your goals are man. If your in a caloric deficit they are more important.
When I was bulking I didn’t take any BCAA and still made pretty great gains.
if you’re consuming enough high quality (read: animal source) protein, getting extra bcaas won’t do anything.
they’re really only helpful if your diet is deficient in protein. if you’re getting already getting ~.8g/lb or more, it is not necessary.
