BCAA and Muscle Degradation


Hey folks. Long time reader, first time poster here.

I'm wondering about BCAA proteins, leucine and isoleucine to be exact. Does anybody here know how they operate exactly?

Also I'm wondering how quickly I should get them in...how quickly can they become useful to my body...10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour?

So far it's been the "shovel method"....just get it in and hope for the best, but money is becoming an issue so it's time to get smart not poor.

I take BCAA's and Leucine around my workout. Handfull of BCAA caps pre workout. Shake with whey, creatine and leucine during my workout. Handfull of BCAA caps after my workout. No idea if it's optimal but as a peri workout formula it's worked well for me so far.
