Basketball and Weightlifting

I always seem to lose too much weight during the season, i burn off all my bodyfat…which is fine with me, but then it starts eating away at my muscle which is my problem. Whats the best way to prevent this? I’m thinking of trying a high calorie weight gainer shake…any suggestions? Or maybe high calorie meal suggestions?

A good amount of protein is key. Also, try and have a maintenance workout during your season. This will not really increase your strength and size, but it will prevent you from losing it; I would do a TBT, low-volume workout.
