To be fair I don’t think they knew all the facts before rioting.
Pretty much… The problem is that a lot of these incidents flood social media without any context even when it is readily available. It really only takes a short video clip or a misleading article title to spawn these riots. People in depressed economic areas are generally fairly easy to start a riot with.
The worst part about all of this is that these idiots are setting their communities back probably decades. Hard working honest people are having their lives upended. Businesses that serve the community are being destroyed and it’s all for nothing.
I just saw a documentary about the Rodney King riots. They had a resident standing in what was now a parking lot. She said there used to be local stores owned by people in the community here and now they are all gone. Nothing local has returned to the area and anything that has is corporate. So basically, the only ones the riots ultimately hurt was the small local ma and pa business owners.
