What are your favourite cues for targeting the lats?
How evenly do you split volume between the lats and the upper back? Does one generally need more work than the other?
What are the basic movement patterns a complete back training routine should include?
Brace with the abs, arms in front of the body, drive the humerus down with the elbow coming towards the hip, don’t bring the arms past the body
Usually 2 sets for lats and 3 sets for upperback in a training session
There’s no such thing. I can work lats with rows or pulldowns. And I can work upperback with rows or pulldowns. It’s about the execution…not a vertical or horizontal movement pattern.
