Back on Track After a Torn Meniscus

I’m finally back in the gym after four months - I tore my meniscus on a standing press, had surgery, and spent four months resting and in PT. My left thigh is now three inches (19 in) smaller around than my right (22in, roughly.)

  1. Is it okay for me to get back to bulking right away?
  2. Am I going to have to do isolation work to bring up my bum leg, or will squatting like I did before be enough? (Earlier, I was on Rippetoes.) I heard somewhere the other leg will build muscle more quickly because of muscle memory or something like that, but it sounds suspect.
