Hit a 1@ 335 sumo pull. Note said " grinding badly". This after not doing deads regularly for years. I worked up con. and sumo…maxed out with sumo. Now, after working at it for 3 months now, I just did what I posted above; 5x3@295, quick and snappy. At first thought, this was not promising. But upon further reflection, it’s a positive step.
My last Deadlift session (yesterday) went like this.
185lbs: 2 sets of 3reps Con. + 3 reps Sumo.
225lbs: Same as above.
275lbs: 1 sets of 3Con. + 3Sumo.
295lbs: 5x3 Sumo
Completed in 45minutes: 10 sets total.
Good speed, form, strength and grip; solid training, according to “The Path”.
Training looks great Z-man! Don’t stress about what you’ll do in the meet, just stick to your training. As the meet gets closer then you can calculate your openers, based on how your singles and doubles look. Gotta have a good first attempt. Then kill it with your second and/or third.
Looking forward to seeing your meet results. Glad your deads and bench are feeling stronger. Hopefully squats come around. But like you said ‘Stay on the path I will’ is the best coarse of action.

Out of town until next Weds; training at LA Fitness, with my did, while in Chicago. The nice girl on the phone said it would “only be $15”.
Thanks LAF. May hit the Rec Center instead; only $12 a day :).
Had to smile at the “benches about as much as he squats” situation. ME TOO!! You know something’s wrong when that happens.
Have fun, and good luck with your meet!!
