This is an idea to improve the forum community, but this thread absolutely does not reflect any type of "official" T-Nation site membership requirement. It's an idea that's been percolating for a while, and I'm just some schmoe on the forum who figured I'd start a thread about it.

It's a check-in, not a call-out. The idea is to improve the sense of community and remind us all that, no matter what we post about here and what initially brought us to the site, the one common trait that every forum member should have is a consistent drive to attack our training and see results, period.

I'm asking for all forum members to post a current snapshot of themselves. And let's try not to get too distracted or off-topic with critiques of what gets posted. There should end up being more posts with images attached, than not.

If your goals are physique-based - you want to get bigger or get leaner or get bigger and leaner - toss up a current pic.

If your goals are performance-based - the powerlifter, the fighter, the Olympic lifter, etc. - you're not excused. You're invited to post a short video clip from a recent training session.

I'm just asking you to participate and play a role in improving the quality of the forum as a whole by reinforcing the idea that T-Nation members know how to do more than just rack up high post counts in the non-training-related sections of the site.

Concerned about staying anonymous? Sites like http://www.pixlr.com and http://www.fotoflexer.com are free Photoshop-like websites that make it ridiculously simple to edit/blur/obscure your face, identifying tattoos, birthmarks, background detail, or anything else that might threaten your anonymity.

So, no excuses.

I’m on track for a video Monday. Been a weird, lazy, fast (time-wise, not fasting) summer.

#3

Got some videos from last week.

585+chains for 7 touch and go reps on deadlift

51 bodyweight dips

I’m down to 194.6lbs this morning. Been losing weight for a month now, started at 200lbs. Will try grabbing a pic toward the end of the month, as I’m getting so sick of losing weight and plan to top out there and start gaining again, haha.

Got a competition on 8 Aug that I’ll update with once I have video.

C’mon, Chris, you didn’t come prepared?

Me squatting 350 against doubled cinched light bands on a 3x3 rack. It is over 100 pounds of band tension, but I am not exactly sure how much. I think roughly 120 pounds with how thick the base is, the double cinching, and how old the bands are. It’s not really important to agonize over how much the bands give exactly.

I came in this year squatting 375, and I pushed it up to 415 about two months ago. I am very happy with the results I am getting on my squat.

The spotter is a good friend of mine of the the football team, and the recorder is another friend from the football team. Ignore the bed head, I literally just got out bed like 40 minutes before I squatted that. lol

Yep. Westside is best side in my experience so far. I have managed to gain a lot of fat guy strength and bloat. And thanks, man, I try. I am not quite up there (maybe in five years) as a few of the more experienced guys here, but I try.

You are so much further ahead than I was at your age. If you stick with it and avoid getting into too much trouble, you’re going to be in a great place down the road. Keep it up!

After back training. Currently 255lbs. Time to lean out…

#10

Crap, sorry, didn’t think that pic would come out so huge.

#11

Since the last check-in I got a girlfriend and so far it feels like a relationship PR, does that count for anything?

I have a video of my lifting from May but that feels really long ago.

The top pic was my last check in photo. The bottom was taken a couple of weeks ago.

Went from full body training to a PPL 6 x a week. No strict format. Just doing what I felt like on any given day.

That’s fantastic progress, and it speaks volumes to the value of intensity over programming. Great work.

And Doval’s back is nuts. I’m envious of anyone that can be that heavy and not fat.

12 weeks out. I have gained weight and gotten leaner (I know impossible!). My hat is off to my coach. He is doing a phenomenal job.
