Have worked 32 hours over the last two days, got off around midnight. Got to bed at 1, got up at 4:30, felt surprisingly good.

1/11 decided to press because I thought I’d be too drained to pull or squat well

Boooooooo, I think 300 pushups and 150 pull ups should both be doable within 10 minutes.

No training today. Have put in about 50 hours at work as of last night, will probably hit 70+ before Friday is over. Will probably work thru today up to Friday morning-ish then go to bed for a while. Almost caught up. Blehhhh

On the plus side, I’m not exempt from overtime.

Actually, I’m going to see how many band pull aparts I can do in a day. Should be interesting how tomorrow feels.

Did you have any DOMS from these the following day? Pretty sure that many reps of anything would lead to some muscle soreness for me.

Minimal, if any. Some localized swelling though. It was more like mild stiffness that what soreness usually feels like for me.

Soreness for me only really comes from doing things that I haven’t done in a while. For example the front squats lately have made me pretty sore, even though I’ve only done 25-30 wprking reps over 2 training sessions.

You made up for it with the 800’ 250lb sandbag carry…I don’t even understand. My 200lb(ish) sandbag walk for 100’ was awful…

What made it better was this awkward hip forward posture every once in a while in order to give me some space to breathe more normally. That and continuing to move.

25 lb platex100, lots of breaks but not putting the plate down. Forearms were the worst during, but my delts were so sore walking to the shower after that my eyes started to water.

1/19 bro session because I didn’t feel like deadlifting. Sue me

Weighted pull ups SS/incline flies

+45×14/50’s×12, into 10 presses

Red fat grip db curls
25’s for 100 total reps. Took somewhere between 12-14 sets. Set 1 was for 20, and it went downhill fast from there.

Pushups, AMRAP in 10 minutes
140. Was on pace for 200+ but at minute six my triceps decided otherwise.

Made an amazing dietary discovery the past week. Ive replaced a gallon of milk with a half gallon of kiefer. No more dairy bloating, and I seem to be digesting everything better. Energy levels are better, observations show testosterone levels are higher, and I’ve been less sore the day after training even with higher volume. Very excited and hoping things continue in this fashion.

Adopted a dog yesterday. Skipped training to go home and check on him. I didn’t have a crate so I had him tied in the laundry room. He chewed through the rope and ate my blinds. At least he left the counters alone.
He then bolted as soon as I opened the door after a deer, and I chased him for 45 minutes or so in foot deep snow. That counts as training.

I now have a dog and cat. Here’s photos of said dog and cat. Making natural enemies tolerate each other is about as difficult as expected, but we are making progress.

Is it the dog not liking the cat or vice versa? I got two kittens after I already had a dog and they hated him at first but eventually just made friends themselves over time.
That’s a cute looking dog though just have to deal with its puppy behaviour for a while.
