That all quad, no calf life.
Clean and push press, clean each rep
200 for 5 singles
Clean and strict-ish press, clean each rep
Close grip bench, 3/4 thumb from smooth, first four reps in one breath, long pause on last rep
225 for 7 sets of 5
DB shoulder press
60’sx8 felt great, excited to set a PR on the next set
75’xlol nope these felt impossible once they were up to my shoulders. Tricep fatigue is sneaky
40’s for 5 sets of 10
Rolling tricep extensions and lateral raises for way too many sets
Back is looking big!
Kind of you sir. About a month ago work became much less physical. I’ve been able to push volume and frequency, and it seems to be paying off.
Suplexed an intoxicated male who was following and harassing me from a guillotine. Guess all the cleans paid off.
Felt like the fastest human alive today
Cleans from hang
Trap bar carries, 2" handles, no chalk
Wow, 500 pound farmer carries are very impressive. Nice job!
Thank you sir. I’d like to hit a 4x body weight carry for 50-60 ft in the near future. Biggest problem will be fitting the weight on the bar lol
Uhm, you just had Ben Bruno, the man himself, compliment you on your carry strength. Put that one on your fitness resume!
I agree though, that’s not only some massive weight, but you are running with it! Great foot speed.
Felt that the farmers walks Tuesday were under max effort, but my elbows felt otherwise. Took yesterday off accordingly .
6/6 Overslept Lower
Lame warm up
Front squat, heeled shoe, lever belt a bit loose, 1 breath, no reset between reps
285 for 12 doubles, had to switch to cross arm grip about 4 doubles in due to some struggle holding the rack. I blame this on the lackluster warm-up
Front rack picks, rack position, weight is unracked/picked up, braced, set hips and unlock knees as if to squat, then setting the weight down as gently as possible.
545x1, 15 second hold got a little too excited for this one, didn’t set the bar deep enough. Bar was sitting on my collarbone which felt pretty horrible
@Ben_Bruno since you were here, just wanted to say I enjoyed the supertraining podcast you were recently on!
The bruises you get following this shit are the worst. Makes turning your head feel like you’re about to snap your neck.
I think I’m more impressed with the almost deadstop followed by a turn, back into practically sprinting holdin five Hindi. Good work brady
They were actually Pacific Islanders. Not sure on their religious orientation though.
Not trying to tough-guy you, but I don’t think I’ll have any sort of bruising this time. It’s something I’ll keep in mind in case one morning I think I wake up paralyzed lol
I was on mobile, so i’m not surprised in the least by the Hindi. Also, regarding the bruising, I have hemophilia and bruise absurdly easy so I guess I should have taken that into account. Anything more than 315 on my shoulders results in bruises. The neck turning thing is more to do with the bar rolling up the neck though and pinching right below your adams apple. On me anyhows.
7/7 Upper bitterness
Got all of this done, minus the stretching at the beginning, in a bit under an hour. Pleased with that
Push press from front rack rather than my crappy backwards leaning launch
5 pullups between each set. Yes. Each set.
225x1, honestly a 10 second pressout for the last 3 inches or so. Probably the slowest lift of my life
Mad about my technique feeling inconsistent, decided to combat that through foolish volume
155 for 15 triples
DB press mechanical drop set, starting at vertical back support and going till the bench was flat. Resting just long enough to lower the bench one setting and reshouldering the DB’s.
Seated DB press, Rest pause. 10 deep breaths for pauses
Band Pull aparts
Feeler set of 50
Set of 174 unbroken
@flipcollar bet you wish you had clavicles like these…
Cheating angles brah
7/8 pull/lower rushed make-up
Lots of stretching
Power clean from hang
20 pull aparts and forearm stretching between sets
RDLs, conventional stance, heeled shoe, straps
225 for 4 sets of 25
RDLs, semi-sumo stance, no shoe, straps
225 for 4 sets of 25
