Wow that is a ton of heavy MP work. 225x8 after a pair of doubles at 280. Strong.

Really wanted the 315#. Knew going into it that my shoulders were already aching and I had used a lot of gas on 300#. Still, I just want to hit 315# by my birthday, at the end of May. Definitely a possibility.
That’s good work right there…face down on a bench is called a “nap” for me! 315 will make for an excellent Bday celebration!

I’ll do what I can. The good news is, 315# doesn’t feel intimidating. It feels heavy, but not beyond managing.

I really want to be pissed about tonight. All things considered, though, it went as well as I could hope for.
Short on sleep. Had to get up when OG is normally lifting…3:55 CST. Knowing I had to get up early, I had a hard time falling asleep…which is typical.
Also had some sort of temporary stomach bug. Hit the gym with an aching right knee, aching shoulders and questionable gastrointestinal integrity.
So, all that considered, not too bad.

Settling in to my old pattern of using face pulls as an antagonistic exercise for bench and reverse flyes for military press.
355# felt good. I thought about going for the 2nd rep, but decided to save the energy.
Then I though about going for 365#, but decided on the +5# per week approach.
We’ll see how long that lasts.
