As Many Sets As It Takes?

#1

Is there a "name" for the method of choosing a weight and doing as many sets as required to hit a desired total rep number? For example, you want to do 50 Squats, and maybe you end up doing sets equaling 15,12,10,8,and 5 for a total of 50 reps.
It seems everything has a name; Pyramids, Ladders, Clusters, Waves, Ratchets, Rest/Pause, etc etc etc, so someone must have a name for this method!

Me too. Right after I invented the internet.

Dan John calls it “to 50” thats good enough for me.

Wendler calls it “The Malcolm X Method”. Reach the target volume/total reps by any means necessary.

I like that, give me 3 weeks and I’ll have invented that too.
