There’s seems to be mixed opinion about the safety of artificial sweeteners. What do you guys think of them? There in alot of protein supplements such as shakes and bars. Any concern?
Some people aren’t affected by sucralose, but I seem to be fairly sensitive to it. I drank a protein supplement a few times from a particular company - NOT Biotest - that contained sucralose. It was the same result each time. My body tried to get rid of it immediately.
Won’t touch aspartame, because the research is pretty clear that it acts as a neurotoxin in the brain, stimulates insulin release just like sugar and , ironically, increases one’s craving for sweet things containing aspartame.
No thanks. I’ll still to my pure maple syrup as a sweetener.
