But what about something for us short people too!!

I’d like to see more Nick Tumminello…

And something from Dan John.

King,

Staley has written previously regarding lever length and references Westside as a resource in his article, it’s general, but might be worth a look.

U have plenty of programs for short people mate. Just about every bodybuilder is a oompa lumpa so any of those programs would be good for u.

I appreciate the Staley article u mentioned. But to hear from more really big and tall guys who went from rail thin to a huge mountain of a man would be great to hear. Its very hard to look big even in clothes when u are 250 pounds plus at 6,3-4

Tall people that bitch and bellyache about being tall are motherfucking annoying.

Read the “westside for oly lifting” thread. FInd someone who knows a shitload about what was asked in that thread. Have him write articles like a machine.
That thread rules!

Oh, and I also want to see some more GPP conditioning articles by Cosgrove. I also like reading Dave Tate’s stuff.

I agree, more Cosgrove.

And more cowbell, too.

Great thread, OG.

Jealousy. It’s a bitch.

More technical hormone/steroid articles.

Obviously.

I am also still hoping they create a recipe forum here. Or at least sticky some of the best recipe threads. I know they have it at FA, but this isn’t FA.

A first person account of local competitions. I loved the pics of Jillybop doing her strongwoman stuff.

A calendar of local events, or an option to have a local calendar.

Shugs has done some good articles about bad influences. I’d like an article on how to motivate your spouse, or significant other, and ESPECIALLY kids. Kids are getting fat today. I used to love recess.

Ummmm, i’m actually 6’2 and thought i would stick up for everyone under 6’3…

Anyways, there’s really no secret workouts for tall lifters, you just have more frame to fill out, so it takes a little longer to achieve your thickness levels.

Some movements may be more benefical then others for strength based on leverages relative to limb lengths, but for size that dosen’t really matter. Other then you need more total muscle to look full.

If you’re not naturally thick, then being tall just makes it that much harder.

As a reference point the following are contest weights of each:

Steve Reeves: 215lbs @ 6’1"
Arnold: 235lbs @ 6’2"
Lou: 275lbs @ 6’5"

I would add (or subtract) 10-15 pounds for every inch of height as a guide (maybe up to 20 pounds for arnold’s build). But remember these are contest weights. Add another ___ for off season weights.

Make sure you’re eating enough, it’s really all about diet, as you’ve said you’re already 250, if you want to weigh 270, then eat like you are already 270, not like you’re 250 trying to get to 270.

And remember, no matter how hard someone trains, if they are 5’9", then they’re 5’9".

 • A new Pre-Hab article.

 • A “day in the life” article with an up and coming BBer or figure competitor

 • An interview with a retired Golden Age BBer such as Frank Zane or holey moley Rachel McLish or Cory Everson

 • An article that looks back on theories or programs that didn’t pan out and why,and what the new thoughts are for training. A “we tried it, but didn’t like it” type of article.

 • An article that reviews over the counter gadgets or even a nod to non-Biotest (non-competing products)

 • A food prep article. I hate to say it, but we see all those threads on “how do you prepare/package your foods”. If you could have a coach, or a competitor doe a step by step break down, that would be great.

 • If not Physique Clinic, how about a Biotest Challenge? Sure we are doing this anyways, but how about a challenge whereby you give the members here 3-months on their own to make changes in relations to what the goals are. You could have Mass Gainer, Athletic competition, WeightLoss, and BB/Figure Competition. Winner gets a t-shirt and a tub of Surge.

 • I know you have FA (great site Olesya) but how about some more Rachel Cosgrove, or Olesya, or Jen Heath article? What is up with Gina and Jelena?

So those are my ideas.
Good ones. I especially like the “Golden Age” interview and the theories/programs which didn’t pan out. I miss the “Stuff We Like” column.

King of Kings - the only article I’m familiar with in regards to training tips for tall people is “Why Lurch Won’t Grow”: Why Lurch Won't Grow

An updated version or new article would be a nice idea.

Sooo, any of you here go to the gym?

Also some more articles with Pavel Tsatsouline

More nutrition articles! If its true that bodybuilding is >75% nutrition, shouldn’t the bulk of articles on a bodybuilding site reflect this?

I’m not just talking about the tired old “eat a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight” articles with some goofy picture of Gunter Schlierkamp eating chicken out of a tupperware container while on a leg press machine. I’m talking about more Berardi and Bowden. New and exciting nutritional information is being discovered on a near daily basis, and these guys are in the middle of it. Lets hear about it! Hell, even bring on a few “wellness” experts (yup, I said it)…even that Udo guy was pretty interesting in his last piece.

Fewer: “Filler” articles. I realize T-Nation has a monumental task of bringing something new to the site every day. I can imagine how difficult that must be. That said, I would rather see 3 quality articles a week than any more “Gain 5 pounds of Mystery Meat” articles.

-Atomic Dogs. Sorry, had to say it.

Honest to got, that thread is probably the best one since I’ve been on this site. If not the best, at least top 5. Real information, it’s actually relevant, and all sorts of other shit.

I’ve sometimes wondered if Cy Willson isn’t simply a Bill Roberts’ nom de plume. Or vice-versa of course.
