Are Some Programs Too Advanced?

I used to lift weights for about a year (I did alomost every set of every workout to failure… didnt know any better, no wonder it hurt like hell and I would only have gains for the first few weeks then get pissed and take weeks off.) about 1 1/2 years ago. I havent really done crap since then but I want to start again.

I have been reading alot of the articles on this site. I don’t know which if any of the workout plans are plausable for a begginer.

I know people say that anything you do as a begginer will give you results. But what will give me the best results in the least amount of time, and what is my body just plain not ready for?

For example I really liked CW’s High Frequency Training but it seems like it would be too much for a begginer.

stick to the basics for a bit not only are you just coming back but you dont really have anytime under the bar prior.

Look at the beginners thread above. Also you like CW’s stuff Id say look at ABBH, and TBT. Those would do you good.

Hope that helps,
Phill

Oh also cant go wrong with Big Boy Basics and reading all the old Dawg School articles

For beginners I think big boy basics is an awesome program. You can’t go wrong with it.

Here are good programs for a beginer IMO
BBB
TBT
ABBH
Bill Starr 5x5
CVT

Big Boy Basics by Chad Waterbury
Totak Body Training by Chad Waterbury
Anti-Bodybuilding Hypertrophy by Chad W.
CVT- I don’t know

Just FYI, as I figured a begginer might now know those acronyms.
