Are Leg Extensions Needed?

Hi Coach, if i am using two big basic movements e.g Squats and Trap Bar Deadlifts, one hamstring isolation exercise and sled work that includes reverse sled drags twice a week, would Machine Leg extensions be needed?

I pretty much never use them or have people do them. Well that’s not true, I will put them in from time to time, but no, they are not necessary.

Coach, would backward sled drags be a better substitute for machine leg extensions?

Safer, yes, better that’s open to debate. It’s a good exercise but it’s devoid of and eccentric phase and the ROM is normally shorter.
