Well, I just purchased a new laptop for school and I want to ensure it’s safety. I’ve never used a laptop before, but I think I need more protection than a standard desktop because it travels from web connection to web connection and I’m never sure of that connections safety.
Anyways, I’d like some of your opionions on the matter. What is your favorite Antivirus, firewall and Anti spyware?
I like Trend Micro pc cilian and Kaspersky.
I’ve heard Kaspersky is the best. I only use free stuff. Ad-aware, Spybot S&D, Spyware Blaster, Advanced Windows Care, and the free online housecall scanner from Trendmicro.
If I were to actually buy one, it would be Kaspersky.
As far as firewalls go, I am satisfied with the one that XP comes with.
I’ve read that bitdefender is good, but I’ve haven’t heard any user feedback on it. Your school might offer some kind of anti virus, so I’d look into that first. My school has a symantec anti virus client that’s downloadable for free.
