Antioxidant?

Can someone with a more technical or scientific background please help me with this? I’m not sure if it is real or a bunch of crap. Sounds good though.

I’d save my money. Your body produces a few endogenous antioxidants to begin with, SOD, being one of them. Now, this isn’t to say that this supplement doesn’t have any value and that our bodies produce enough endogenous antioxidants to deal with free radicals, I’m simply saying that there are many other cheaper methods for providing antioxidative activity. Obviously, things like ascorbic acid, tocotrienols, and of course the nearly countless number of phytochemicals which have antioxidative activity, and in some cases, they themselves increase endogenous antioxidant activity. If I remember right, glutathione peroxidase is increased with certain cheap compounds like milk thistle.

Anyhow, my point is to simply eat veggies and fruits, take some antioxidants like mentioned before and that’s plenty.
