damn.
He wasn’t that old either, was he?

RIP for a class act who came up the hard way. Not to mention one of the true monsters of the strength world.

Sad that so many of these massive athletes have such a short life span.

He was a good man.

I got to train with him once. He was reverse grip bench pressing close to 800lbs. It took three guys to spot him. He was cool as hell. I’m glad I got to meet him and know him for a while but I hate that he died so early.

He was only 39 years old (born 9-15-66. This great lifter was an even greater human being. He was always giving of himself for others.

It is a sad day.

Huh. I hadn’t realized he was that much older than me.
Well, 5 years.

Yes, he was a pretty great HB.
Prof, you’re a lucky man.

Only 39???..thats insanely young.
It shows we all better be ready for God or whatever you think comes after this. Call me crazy, but I will take my chances with God.

He was an incredible physical being. Too strong to comprehend really.

Donnie…

He was a huge inspiration to me as I grew up and will continue to inspire me throughout my powerlifting career. My heart and prayers go out to his family.

That’s sad news

Anthony Clark bench pressed 800 lbs (I believe w/ a reverse grip) @ the 1997 (8 years ago!) Arnold Classic according to the website below:

Very sad news. Anthony Clark was one of the greats.
