Annoying.

Going to switch days for close grip floor press and skull crushers. Floor press and push press together is a little too much.

Back tweak was transient. Much better today.

So many folks mass-bought bumper plates and bars that there is now a glut on craigslist. The prices are ridiculously high, but since Rogue and other supply companies are identifying these plate-flippers and not allowing them to buy anymore stock, I imagine the prices will come down, especially once production is back up.

I hope so, even the price of iron weights is crazy high 2-3x normal prices. A correction is overdue.

Left hip is getting niggly. Hope I can make it through one more micro of squatting 8s, and then the volume goes down. It might settle down then.

Tweaked my back on the first set of DLs, which I suspected might happen. I need to maybe have a no-back day every so often. Since it was already tweaked, I just kept going and stayed tight. Didn’t get any worse, so maybe it was a good call.

Back tweak gone the next day.

Fatigue high, upper back and lats still sore from DLs. skipping the pullups and taking another recovery day.

Pullups hurt as I thought they would, but when trying the warmups weren’t so bad, I went ahead and did some straight sets. Def stretchy-pain around the armpit and down to the right elbow.

This next microcycle is going to be at the limit for me as far as 8’s go. Looking forward to the down week after.

Glad your back is ok. You never know what the next day will be like when you tweak your back. Did you do a 1 arm barbell or db press? Overhead or bench press? Sounds interesting.

It’s a one-arm overhead barbell press.
Big fun. They go even lower to the shoulder than a dumbbell because there’s a little more clearance.

Made it through the squats, which is the only movement that really mattered to me in this meso. Everything after this (except push-presses) will be a breeze. Then a micro off doing fun stuff (sandbags!) followed by a meso of 6’s
