Looks like your sticking (mostly) to the basics to get back in the groove; pushups, pull-ups, rows, direct ab work, that Oly stuff you like…It’ll come back in no time.

I computer all day and everything on my body feels like it’s stuck to its neighbor. The amount of crackling and popping my body is emitting as I move is quite alarming.

I computer all day also, albeit in a low IQ sorta way.

I have one of those powered desks that move up and down -it’s awesome. You don’t have to just choose between sitting and standing, you can make mini-adjustments and just change the way you’re slouching lol. I got mine from The Human Solution, but lots of companies make decent ones now.

I’ve been avoiding workouts because my left knee hurts a fair bit, down where the VMO attaches

It occurs to me that my left knee may be hurting because my hamstrings and ass are not yet strong enough to manage the load I’ve been attempting to use.

My personal .02 recipe for success would include a band for the squats (I love the Hip Circle by Mark Bell), and yes some hamstring work (not just the toe touch in the article).

edit to add: my issue was patellar tendinitis; got to the point where it hurt walking up frickin’ stairs

All better now. Think I just overstretched it with to much weight in too great a range of motion too soon.

Backing off a bit and going up in weight more slowly going forward.
