Another cheat day question

I’m curious about whether or not training on the same day as your cheat day would have an outcome on the positive/negative effects of splurging.

I would think that since most people would take in extra carbs on their cheat day, that lifting early in the day would be the way to go as opposed to doing it later on or not at all, but I realize that I could be wrong on this. Any opinions?

It works well provided you aren’t the type that gets extremely lethargic when consuming a lot of carbs at one time. Also, if you are going with a more controlled overfeed, you’ll need to add more carbs and calories to make up for the energy expenditure and recovery. I recommend training in the mid morning (about 3 hours after awakening) if you plan to do this.
