While reviewing my insurance policy beneficiaries, I thought of adding a philanthropic organization or some sure value cause.

  • Red Cross
  • World Health Organization, if it's possible, because of their new tough anti-smoking stance (well, new to me at least)
  • Foundations run by millionaire or billionaire money managers who thus have no need for profit and can run their Foundations with virtually zero administrative fees, i.e. almost every dollar invested goes to work

Solid track record is a must. Recent financial scandals = Caveat Emptor (Buyer beware) more than ever.
