Anavar/Winstrol

I know Test is always preferred as the base of anyone's first cycle, but I am not trying to gain serious mass for bodybuilding. I'm trying to improve my image for a photo shoot. I am already 193lbs /6'00 ft/8% BF with a hard body look. I'm not looking to add size to my whole body, instead I would like to improve 4 lagging areas: Deltoids,pecs, Calves and glutes with noticable hypertrophy while staying at 8% BF or lower. I'm keeping the cycle length short to avoid any sides.

Cycle: 40mg Var ED for 6 weeks.
50 mg Win depot injections EOD for 6 weeks.
PCT: Nolva @ 40 mg for weeks 7-10
Liver Cleanse Detox for week 10.

I've already seen large strength gains and noticable pumps after 5 days. Can somebody who has used a similar cycle chime in on results? People talk shit about this cycle on here about not keeping gains, but what gains are they referring to(strength or mass)? I also read somewhere that Bill Roberts said it was a good combo. Thoughts?

Ok i'm just gonna leave this as a log. Sorry if you vets get bored with it, but I know it will provide another resource for all the Var questions.

Still following the same protocol as above. @ week 6 var will run out. I will switch over to winstrol injection 100 mg everyday for 4 more weeks then end with pct weeks 11-14 with a taper protocol.

Day 17

A.M. weight : 200.6 lbs

BF: ~9% (Went on an unplanned Atkins diet over Thansgiving. Ate tons of turkey and ham, but stayed away from breads and desserts. Gained weight and some body fat, but this brought on dramatic strength gains. The gym wasn't open on Thanksgiving day, so I got up early and flipped a monster truck tire across a football field.)

Added 40 lbs to bench since cycle started. (I wasn't benching much before the cycle :slight_smile:

Program:

Mon- Horizontal push:pre/post fatigue + Metabolic Leg finisher routine 20 mins.
Tues- Knee dominant low body + Metabolic Barbell complex 20 mins
Wed- Vertical Push: Drop Set Complex + Metabolic Stair/Bleacher Sprints 20 mins
Thu- Hip dominant low body + Metabolic Barbell Complex
Fri- Horizontal Push Drop Set Complex + Metabolic VersaClimber 20 mins
Sat- Horizontal/Vertical Pull: pre/post fatigue + Metabolic Kettlebell swings 20 mins
Sun- Sports/Outdoors/foam roll+stretch(Activity option)

Diet: I am recovering from an eating disorder so I have no strict diet guidelines. It is said you can't outwork a bad diet, but as you can see above....you CAN outwork a mediocre diet. My only dietary goal each day is to eat 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per lb. of BW.

Why aren't you running the winny ED now along with the var? 6 weeks of both together everyday. Get on, get your gains, get off, recover. Like you originally had planned, but ED injects instead of EOD. Since it is non esterified, I can't comment on it's half life, but ED makes more sense as a default to me. Also, ditch the idea of 10 weeks....var and win depot are both 17-Alkylated.

As you probly guessed I don't have enough Win for ED injections for six weeks. I thought EOD would do the trick, but now at week 3, all my gains have reached a plateau.

I am considering finishing the Win with ED injections and adding primo at 400 mg per week for the last two weeks. I'm a little frustrated because, for the past 2 weeks I have been gaining strength and weight... Now I am getting leaner, I've even lost about 3 lbs. in the last 3 days.

But my strength has stayed the same....is the ED winstrol followed by 400 mg primo for last 2 weeks a bad idea?

Wait. You did a var/winstrol cycle with the goal of adding "serious mass for bodybuilding?"

Wouldn't a vial or two of test and an ai cost about the same as an anavar/winstrol cycle and deliver way more in the way of gains?

I'm just retarded. It's my first cycle and I was a pussy so I'm on a low dose/short cycle. I like my size now, i just wanted to make improvements to some lagging areas for a modeling photo shoot. I just figured since it was my first cycle anything would work.... I guessed wrong.

Listen, for the goals you stated, there is nothing wrong with what you chose, just how you chose to cycle it. Those 2 should be run together, and 50 win ED and 40 var ED will yield decent results with proper dialed in nutrition and training. Is it the best option for what you want to do? Probably not, but it's what you've started, so see it through and do it in the most ideal way possible.
