Anavar vs. Carbolin 19

Please bear with me, this post may get long. I will do my best to keep it as short as I can…

I have played competitive sports my entire life. Pretty much every sport except soccer. Currently I am a competitive sprinter. I am in my off-season and was thinking of using steroids to aid in my training. I have always been fascinated by steroids but never really thought of using them until now (though I have researched them for the last couple of years). Here is what I want to get from using steroids:

Increase in strength without a major increase in weight gain.
Something without a lot of water retention.
Something that will allow me to train harder.
Something that will allow for quicker recovery between training days.
Something without a lot of negative side effects.

I recently got a copy of the book “Speed Trap” by Charlie Francis and in the book he is rather open about the steroid protocols his sprinter’s used. Early on they used just 5mg of Dianabol a day for 3 weeks on/3 weeks off. Later on some of them switched to Anavar instead of Dianabol, and again the doses were low. All of the sprinters that used the steroids, even at these low doses, noticed a difference with the drugs.

So I read up on these steroids and decided Anavar was probably better for my needs. From what I read, Dianabol packs on weight and causes water retention, two things I want to avoid (or at least minimize). Anavar, on the other hand, sounded perfect for my needs. Strength gain without a siginificant weight gain, no water retention, and limited side effects.

After deciding on Anavar, I came to this site to try and get more information. I came across the article for Carbolin 19. In the article it says “We’ve developed a better anabolic compound than Anavar! Better in the sense that it’s equal in anabolic horsepower, but it’s actually more effective at stripping off body fat - and it doesn’t have to be cycled! It will not down-regulate your endocrine system and it won’t lose its effectiveness over time.” Now, I respect T-Nation and use its products (Surge and Grow!), but to me this seems to good to be true.

I delved into the Carbolin 19 News thread to see if I could find more, but there are very few people in there who say anything about strength gains. It sounds to me like the most notable effects with Carbolin 19 are increased appetite and an increase in LBM. These are all nice, but I am already pretty lean, I really need something to help with recovery and strength improvements.

If Carbolin 19 could cover that as well that would be great, as one of the drawbacks for me purchasing Anavar will be finding a legit place to get it from and the price.

So, my question to those of you more experienced then I, is Carbolin 19 really better than Anavar? And more importantly, is Carbolin 19 better for MY GOALS then Anavar?

Thanks in advance, and if I left out any necessary information please let me know.

For what it is worth, I am a competitive triathlete. My use of Carbolin 19 has significantly improved my VO2 Max results and my overall strength endurance. Again, these are all subjective and stuff I have recognized, I could’t provide you with any strict data. I recommend this product to who could benefit from increased O2 capacity and positive body comp swing.

Hey sprinterOne, I was thinking the same thing myself! I’m a sprinter too (on 2 wheels) I’l keep on watching this threads and search. If I find anything, I’l post it here!

I used only one bottle of Carbolin 19 because of financial issues, otherwise I would have kept using. However, I train with a guy who started at the same time as I did and has continued with it. I have to say that although he has been working more hours lately, his diet is the same, but he is not getting any stronger at all. At this point, for a strength athlete, I would have to say you must be very patient for any strength gains with Carbolin 19, if you need something faster, yes Anavar will do the trick.

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like Carbolin 19 won’t do what I need. Now my question turns to Anavar. I have seen some people say Anavar by itself worked well for strength gains, while others said they needed to add in other AS to get any gains.

I am thinking of taking 40 mg Anavar/day for 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off. But before I spend my hard earned money, I wanted to get some opinions on what kind of gains I could expect. I am looking for strength gains without massive weight gains, and from what I have read Anavar seems to be the one for this. I’m just wondering if Anavar by itself is even worth it, or if I need to add in another AS.

Thanks.

In the arena you are in, you are looking for that 100th of a second edge. Anavar can help you achieve this. I would use it 3 weeks on and off however, to even further minimize suppression.

OK, here is what I have decided on:

Week 1-3: Anavar 40mg/ED
Week 4-5: Clomid 50mg/ED

I will break the Anavar doses up into 2 of 20mg taken twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening, as close to 9 hours apart as I can. For the clomid I will take one 50mg everyy morning.

I contemplated going on Anavar at the same dose for 4 weeks as I read that it takes about 14 days for the strength gains to kick in. But seeing as this is my first cycle I will try 3 weeks to see how it works. If in fact it takes 14 days to see the strength increase I will try a 4 week cycle next time.

Thoughts, crits?

If it takes 2 weeks to kick in, why 3 weeks cycles?

Im new to this board and heard about Carbolin 19. I have a few questions. Is this a steriod, or does it mess with hormones? What does a bottle cost and how long would a bottle usually last? thanks.

$39. 15 days at maximum dose. One month at minimum does. It is not a steroid; it does not mess with hormones, and PCT is not necessary. Click on Carbolin in the product section. Then click info to the get the article and a massive discussion/questions. You might also want to check out the Carbolin results thread in Supplements and Nutrition.

Prisnor, I am 35yrs old. Been in and out of the gym sence I was 14yrs. They used to call me “LittleArnodl” in the gmy. My question is can Anavar really shredd the bodyfat off? Can I take without out stuff? What would be a good dose for me. Everyone has said I could really look awsome if I could just lose the fat! Farmboy1969

Sprinter, I have quite a bit of experience with Anavar and LOVE the stuff. I, too, believe it’s probably what you’re looking for; however, having said that, I’m not a sprinter, so I can’t give you any specific advice for it’s use in sprinting.

I do believe that 3 week cycles are too short. Individuals’ response to AAS is highly variable, however I personally don’t feel the strength increases kick in untill around weeks 3-4. I think 6 on, 6 off would allow you to fully experience the ergogenic benefits of Anavar use with minimal HPTA suppression.

For PCT I would do something like this:

Day 1: 200 mg. Clomid
Days 2-7: 100 mg. Clomid
Days 8-21 (or 28): 50 mg. Clomid

You should have no problem getting endogenous testosterone levels back to normal after 3-4 weeks, with only 40 mg./day Anavar.

Hope that helps. Good luck,

Crowbar
