Anatabloc - Supp for Inflamation

Thought I’d post this here prior to the nutrition page (more people read gal). Anyone heard of this product?

Its an anti-inflammation product, the active ingredients are alkaloids found in the leaves of the potato/tomato family of plants

The co. has released this product as a nutrition supp to get around the onerous FDA rules required if it were to be released as a medication.

I’m soon to undergo an operation for a cartilege tear, and was wondering if anyone has heard of this product, has any further info whether this would be a good product to enhance post-op recovery, and perhaps ongoing use?
thx,

“Anatabloc® assists the bodyâ??s natural process for regulating its own inflammation, using an alkaloid found in plants and vegetables, combined with Vitamins A and D3, to assist in maintaining healthy levels of inflammation at a cellular level”

“A tablet of Anatabloc® contains 1 milligram of anatabine base, 500 units of Vitamin A and 40 units of Vitamin D3. Anatabine is a natural alkaloid found in Solanaceous plants (tomato, peppers, tobacco) that reduces NF-κB activity. Anatabloc® has been shown to have significant anti-inflammatory effects in-vitro, in animal studies, and in human epidemiological studies of tobacco alkaloid exposures. A clinical trial using Anatabloc® is ongoing. Two additional trials will get underway by year-end.”
