Anabolic Resistance Clarification

I read an article on T nation titled ‘How Mass Diets Can Hurt You’.

I am wondering if the facts presented in the article are true and proven scientifically. Is there anyone here who overconsumed calories yet seemed to find him/herself plateau in strength gains?

At the end of the article, I am definitely not experiencing insulin resistance as I am able to achieve pumps during my workouts.

Check the references and make up your own mind.

What makes you think that insulin resistance and pumps go hand in hand?

I was gonna ask that too.

Also, you can have strength gains slow regardless of how much you’re eating. It’s not just always about shoveling in more food.

Forget getting the pump when training (doesn’t really mean you stimulated any growth anyway), how’s your bodyfat in regard to how much you’re eating? This is the area where people really see reflections of insulin related issues.
